Swap
Market swaps, instant trades, slippage and MEV protection.
Market swaps
Swaps route through Jupiter, which compares every major Solana DEX (Raydium, Orca, Meteora, pump.fun's AMM and more) and multi-hop path, and picks the route that gives you the most tokens back. New pump.fun tokens can be bought on their bonding curve as soon as they list. The quote refreshes as you type.
- 1Choose the token you pay with in From and the token you want in To. To trade a token that isn't listed, paste its contract address.
- 2Enter an amount. The route, expected output and minimum received appear below.
- 3Select Review Swap, check the summary, then press and hold Hold to Swap and approve in your wallet.
Solana swaps need no token approvals: each swap is a single transaction that your wallet signs, and it moves only the amounts shown.
Reviewing a swap
Every swap is simulated on-chain before you sign. The review screen shows:
- You pay and You receive (estimated).
- Minimum received, the least you will get after slippage. If the market moves further, the swap fails instead of filling at a worse price.
- Price impact. Zipr warns you when a trade would move the price by more than 5%.
- Estimated network fee and Platform fee. Zipr does not charge a fee on swaps.
Hold-to-confirm prevents accidental taps from sending a transaction.
Instant Trade & hotkeys
The Instant Trade panel buys the token in To for a preset amount of 0.1, 0.5 or 1 SOL, or sells 25%, 50% or 100% of the token in From, in a single tap. Every instant trade still opens the review screen before anything is signed.
Turn on Hotkeys to trade from the keyboard: hold Space and press 1, 2 or 3 to buy, or Q, W or E to sell.
Slippage & presets
Slippage tolerance is how far the price may move between your quote and execution. The default is 0.5%. Open the settings icon next to the quote to pick 0.1%, 0.5% or 1%, or enter a custom value. Zipr warns you above 0.5% and shows a stronger warning above 5%, where front-running bots can take a meaningful share of your trade.
Presets P1, P2 and P3 save a slippage and MEV protection combination so you can switch between setups, such as a tight setting for blue-chips and a looser one for new tokens, in one tap.
MEV protection
A sandwich attack is when a bot trades just before and after you to profit from your slippage. The most a bot can take is the slippage your trade allows, so Zipr's MEV protection caps it:
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Off | Uses your slippage setting as is. |
| Reduced | Caps slippage at 1% on every swap and buy. |
| Secure | Caps slippage at 0.5%, and sends swaps with a priority fee and Jito tip so they land fast. |
The cap applies to Swap, Discover buys and token pages. Very thin tokens may need MEV protection off to fill.
