How Zipr protects you, and how to protect yourself.
Non-custodial by design
Zipr is an interface to public blockchains and protocols. It never takes custody of your funds, never sees your private keys or seed phrase, and cannot move funds without your signature. If Zipr were offline, your assets would remain in your wallet and your accounts on Lighter and Polymarket, accessible through any compatible interface.
Built-in protections
- Transaction simulation. Swaps and buys are simulated on-chain before you sign, so a trade that would fail or return far less is caught first.
- Exact approvals. Zipr requests only the amount a trade needs, never unlimited token allowances by default.
- Hold to confirm. Swaps need a deliberate press-and-hold, so a stray tap can't send a transaction.
- Risk information. Price impact warnings, slippage warnings, token risk scores and unverified token labels appear before you trade.
- MEV protection. Optional slippage caps, and guidance for private transaction routing on Ethereum.
- Scoped trading key. The perps trading key can trade but never withdraw, expires after 90 days, and can be reset at any time.
- Hardware wallet support. Connect a Ledger so every transaction needs physical approval on the device.
Staying safe
- Never share your seed phrase or private key. Zipr will never ask for them.
- Always check that you are on the official Zipr site before connecting your wallet.
- Read what your wallet shows before you sign, especially approvals and messages.
- Verify contract addresses through official project channels, not social media replies or direct messages.
- Use a hardware wallet for significant balances, and a separate wallet for experimental trades.
- Review and revoke old token approvals periodically with a tool such as revoke.cash.
Zipr support will never contact you first
Anyone who messages you claiming to be Zipr support and asks you to connect your wallet to a link, sign something or share a code is attempting a scam.Privacy
Zipr doesn't require personal information. Your preferences, watchlists, tracked wallets and contacts are stored in your browser. If you enable price alert notifications, your alerts and a push subscription for your device are stored on Zipr's servers so they can notify you. Blockchain transactions are public by nature and visible to anyone.
